FAQ
Every time I have sex
with my boyfriend, the condom breaks. Why is this happening? I am not dry and I am on the
pill. Is his penis too big? What should I do?
Are you using condoms that
are too thin? Featherlites or extrasensitive condoms are easier to break. If not, maybe
your boyfriend should try a condom with a better fit. Try Ansells flared condoms, which
are bigger.
Can I still get pregnant even
though I use condoms?
If you are using condoms correctly,
you will not get pregnant. The condom must be put on before any genital to genital contact
(so no rubbing etc first). After ejaculation, you boyfriend must take his penis out. If he
goes soft inside you, then fluid may leak out the sides.
My penis is not circumcised and whenever I put a condom
on it and roll it down all the way to the end of my penis it rolls up quite a lot - like
it wrinkles up. Why does it do that and how do I stop it doing that without getting my
penis circumcised?
Condoms slip for may reasons - when they are not put on
correctly, during prolonged or very vigorous sexual intercourse, when the penis goes soft
before withdrawal, and when the rubber loses its strength from being kept in a warm place,
or being past its use by date. Try pulling the foreskin back a little before you put the
condom on. Condoms also come in a variety of sizes and shapes, so experiment with
different brands and see which one fits you best. There is no need to get your penis
circumcised.
Which brands of condoms provide a slim fit?
Durex Confidence for example.
Are all condoms the same?
Different brands of condoms
suit different shaped penises. For example, some are more narrow, while others may be
slightly flared. Flavoured condoms should only be used for oral sex. So called
"feather lite" brands should only be used for oral sex. Also check out if the
condom contains nonoxynol-9: this brand of condom should only be used for anal sex and if
used for vaginal sex shouldn't be used regularly because this chemical is very strong and
may cause irritation to either partner. The best bet is to try different brands until you
find one that suits you and your partner's needs
