The Follicare ® System helps promote blood flow to the scalp. In balding areas on the scalp, there may be a restricted, or reduced, blood flow from the small capillaries that feed the hair growth mechanism which decreases the supply of oxygen and nutrients that are needed to regenerate new healthy hair cells.

Will The Follicare ® System work for me?

In an independent pilot clinical trial, all subjects using The Follicare ® System noted a slowing of hair loss and new hair growth within the first or second month of treatment. 50% of the participants noted new frontal hair growth at the end of the six month trial. The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person. Men who have not had success with other hair regrowth programs, have reported marked results using the Follicare ® System.

How soon can I expect results from using The Follicare ® System?

Since normal hair usually grows only 1/2 to 1 inch per month, hair regrowth with The Follicare ® System also takes some time. First, you should notice less hair loss (less hair in the sink, or on your pillow). Second, you should notice new hair growth.

If The Follicare ® System is working, what will the new hair look like?

What will I experience when using The Follicare ® System All Natural Topical Spray?

The Follicare ® All Natural Topical Spray contains peppermint oil, which can cause a mild tingling sensation. Users have reported this effect to decrease after one or two weeks of continuous use. In addition, when you first start using Follicare ®, you may see some reddening of the scalp and feel a slight heat sensation. This will dissipate after approximately 30 minutes. This minor discomfort is for a good reason! It is the result of increased blood flow in the area that is bringing necessary nutrients to the hair follicle to help you grow new hair. What are the most common side effects from using The Follicare ® System?

The Follicare ® All natural Topical Spray contains ingredients which may cause burning or irritation of the eyes or sensitive skin areas. If Follicare ® accidentally gets into these areas, rinse with large amounts of cool tap water. Contact your doctor if irritation persists.

If you combine The Follicare ® All Natural Topical Spray with the Extra Strength 5% Minoxidil you may experience those side effects related to minoxidil use. Please read the instructions and precautions in the minoxidil package.

What happens if I choose not to use the Extra Strength 5% Minoxidil?

For optimal results, we encourage you to use all components although many men have experienced great results without it.

Can I use hair sprays, mousse, or conditioner along with The Follicare ® System?

There is no need to change your usual hair care routine when using The Follicare ® System, however, you should apply Follicare ® before applying styling aids. It is recommended that you let your hair air dry for 5 - 10 minutes before blow drying. Follicare can be adapted into your hair styling regime. You need to find the one that works best for you.

Can I have my hair colored or permed or use hair relaxers while using Follicare ®?

We have no information that these treatments change the effect of Follicare ®. To avoid possible scalp irritation, you should make sure all of the Follicare ® solution has been washed off the hair and scalp before using these chemicals.

What if I miss an application, or forget to use The Follicare ® System?

If you miss one or two daily doses of The Follicare ® System, just continue with your next dose. You should not make up for missed applications.

Can I apply the Follicare ® All Natural Topical Spray and wash my hair an hour later?

Yes, but for The Follicare ® All Natural Topical Spray to work best, you should allow it to remain on the scalp for about 4 hours before washing.

Can I work out, go swimming, or go out in the rain?

If possible, apply Follicare ® All Natural Topical Spray to a dry scalp after swimming, or wait about 4 hours after application before going swimming. If you are going to work out and sweat, wear a headband to prevent sweat from running into your eyes. Use proper precautions.

Can I use The Follicare ® System for baldness or hair loss in babies or children?

No. The Follicare ® System must not be used to treat baldness or hair loss in babies or children.

Are there any special warnings about the use of the Follicare ® All Natural Topical Spray?
No. The Follicare ® All Natural Topical Spray does not contain minoxidil. Some individuals are concerned about the potential side effects of Minoxidil and choose not to use the topical minoxidil (packaged separately). If you do use the Extra Strength 5% Minoxidil, read the directions carefully before use.

Follicare Minoxidil 2% for Women

The regrowth system is for women who have a general thinning of hair on top of the scalp.

We all know it takes time to regrow hair. However, with this Follicare Minoxidil Extra Strength for women, results may occur at 2 months with twice daily usage. For some women, it may take at least 4 to 6 months for results to be seen.

Continued use is necessary or hair loss will begin again. If you do not see hair regrowth in 4 to 6 months, stop use. In studies with 5% Minoxidil Extra Strength Topical Solution for women, hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks of continuous treatment in large clinical studies.

The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person. Follciare Minoxidil Extra Strength for women will not work for all women. Not intended for frontal baldness or a receding hairline
